Roger opened Bodywork Massage and Day Spas' original location in Tarpon Springs in 1997. Our main mission has always been to bring a clean, up-scale, comfortable location to the Tampa Bay area where professionals could receive legitimate bodywork and spa treatments by highly skilled therapists. Not only have we achieved our goal, but we have been repeatedly acknowledged as one of the premier therapeutic massage and aesthetics destinations by the general public and by both the media and medical communities.
When Roger first opened his client base was primarily medical rehab, and his staff consisted of only male massage therapists. For this reason, we were known in the past as the “gay spa”, however, over the years our practice has grown to include female therapists as well as a Physician that offers all our Facial Rejuvenation Treatments. We are one of the few places in Tampa Bay that hosts both Male and Female Massage Therapist and Estheticians to cater to the comfort level of all of our male and female clients. What makes us different from the "membership" spas is the fact that all associates on our staff have a medical or athletic background, or have been doing massage and or skin care for a minimum of three years. We integrate that experience into each massage or facial to give you the best relaxation and therapeutic experience possible. The "membership" spas are a great thing and they really have done their part in introducing massage to a portion of the population that may would have never tried massage due to the cost or it not being available in their community. They are great for what they are. At Bodywork Massage and Days Spa you can be assured that your spa services are not being performed by an hourly employee that may have just graduated from Massage School. In addition to massage, we offer other spa treatments which include a full facial menu, ear candling and Botox to name a few. We also carry SkinMedica, one of the best selling and most effective pharmaceutical grade skin care lines, and an array of other spa goodies.
