Our normal or regular massage is the Bodywork Signature Massage which last 90 minutes. On your first visit, you will be asked to fill out an intake form and provide a brief medical history regarding any injuries or problem areas you may have. Take this time to tell us if you don't want a certain body part worked. You will then be asked to undress to your comfort level and to get on the massage table under the towel or sheet provided. While you do this, we will leave the treatment room to wash our hands. Upon returning, the massage will start using a variation of techniques as needed.

For your comfort table warmers are on every table in our spa, let us know if the temperature is to your liking. Additionally, because some therapists tend to work deeper than others, you will be asked from time to time to rate the pressure. Only a small amount of hypoallergenic water based creme is used, so you will also be asked if more lubrication is needed, different lotions or oils can be used based on your request. Since everyone prefers a different amount of pressure or lubricant, it is important to communicate your needs with your therapist. Remember this is your massage, not ours.

In the winter months, or at your request, we use a water based massage creme that is a natural, hypo-allergenic elixir of Shea Butter & Goat's Milk. This is an incredible, non-fragrant moisturizer that is absorbed by your skin, and you will not feel "oily". Great for people that suffer from seasonal eczema, or eczema in general.

In special circumstances, hot packs or ice may be used. These are never applied directly on the skin. A towel is always placed between the skin and the packs, providing a sanitary and comfortable environment.

After the massage, the therapist will leave the room while you dress or get ready to shower. You will be provided with water before you leave. Water helps the body to flush the toxins that have been loosened during the massage, so you should always increase your water intake throughout the day after your massage.

Note: Actual "hands-on" massage time may be less to allow for disrobing, showering and/or dressing.

Our relaxed environment includes customized aromatherapy for you at no charge. Our Spa is generally an "Enya" free facility. We use a compilation of jazz, vocal, Euro lounge, and several soundtracks as a musical backdrop. If you would like a specific style of music, simply let your therapist know, and he will be glad to adjust to your musical taste. Ambient music is available.

To keep our rates low, we do not employ a receptionist. As a courtesy to those that may be receiving spa treatments, all calls are rolled over to voicemail when all therapists are in session and not available to answer the telephone. If you get our voicemail, please leave a message. The telephones are also forwarded to a therapist when the office is closed so your early morning or evening calls (messages) are received.
